Well, I'm at work now ... still very windy, but at least the rain has stopped. Lots of folks don't have power. We're one of the lucky ones - we were only out for two hours. However, our cable is down, which prevented me from going online for updates till now.

That was one wild storm. The wind and rain were relentless for a good eight hours. Our back yard is lightly flooded, but that's about it.

Our kids were real troupers. They played games all day and then watched some Looney Tunes on DVD. Meanwhile, I listened to my Walkman radio for storm updates and NFL games.

The funniest thing I saw was at the height of Jeanne's trek through our area: A squirrel was hiding under my favorite tree in the back yard and was foraging for food. Wind and rain whipped all around him, but it didn't phase him one bit. He was the real trouper. :-)
