On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Character Spacing tab. There's a little box 2/3 down, 1/3 to the right. "kerning" is right there next to the box.
I guess then the question becomes, did the author of the forgeries select the kerning option? I have read elsewhere that document experts, having examined the memos, found no evidence of kerning. I think the points made about kerning in this thread and elsewhere are moot.
