Brit Hume announced story coming up now on National Guard docmunents
Thank you for clearing that up. DU seems to be quoting Sully as the next prophet. They wish.
Too bad about Sully, going down with CBS.
Begalla and Carville come on line and all of a sudden forged documents turn up at CBS. hmmmmmmmm. God this is rich. The thing is: If they wanted to help Kerry, they are idiots. If they wanted to sink him for hillary '08, they are pretty smart. Either way, kerry is left out to dry.
But so is the MSM, which hillary would need, so with respect to Carville and Begalla, I'll take option A. They are idiots. But clintion is pretty smart if he hired them to help, knowing they would screw up...
Would a person actually type 147th with a space between the 147 and the th? I think not.
Bwaahhaahaa! I hate that paperclip thingy!
Somebody update me with what they are saying on the news, I don't have TV/CABLE access right now.
Does anyone know what this would imply? I saw it explained last night as the difference between the MAC and the Microsoft versions of WORD.
You give me too much credit.
sorry dear..I am cubicle bound..
You are so right...
But you know what the best part is? What can happen to CBS can happen to rest of the lamestream. The MSM is just a collection of useful idiots to whoever did this. Gee, I wonder who's next on the list of disposables?
okay, thanks...every time I "get done" with a page on this thread.....there's ANOTHER 80 posts I have to catch up reading..............this has been going on now since post 230.....egad!!haha! That sounds like me sifting though my "My Comments" pages nowadays. Lots of pings to me. :^)
Does anyone know what this would imply?
I don't know if these comparisons are being done with a screen shot or actual hard copy print, but I've noticed that superscript in a printed Word document is a little higher than the screen preview. Depends on the printer.
I will try it at work tomorrow where I have access to many types of printers and scan them in and do a composite overlay.
They are totally busted because someone didn't know anything about the AF in those years made up these documents. No wonder the WH sent them back -- they knew there would be a firestorm by anyone ever having worked with AF correspondence. Isn't it sweet!
They were released directly from the source to CBS who then sent them to the WH AFAIK.
I have to tell you, I spent 19 years working in admin for the AF....first of all let me tell you, to get an IBM Selectric typewriter in those days took an act of God....you had to jump through hoops to get the procurement approval and they were given few and far between. Secondly, we NEVER typed our own letterhead - it was always printed in blue ink and you got it from supply. Thirdly, I don't know about all offices, but I never typed Memo for File; it was always MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD: followed by SUBJECT: Fourth, when a rank is used, you never used periods, i.e., lst. Lt. is NOT right, it would be lLt. Aand lastly, as I said last night, the signature block was always left margin justified and all paragraphs were blocked - no indention (I put this though I didn't got back and look at the documents to see if the paragraphs were indented. I spent too many years typing these things to not recognize a real piece of AF correspondence. One thing I also noticed, but since I never worked for the ANG I don't really know that this matters, but officer ratings are called OERs (standing for Officer Evaluations Reports) so I'm not too sure where the OETR came from. Just a thought! But the most important thing to me in all of this is that we the people don't have to be force fed the MSM crap anymore...and as has been said over and over, thank goodness for FNC....
Yes, we need to light some fires for law enforcement - surely it must be a federal crime to forge military documents???? Legal eagles need to find the appropriate statute(s) and start pressing for criminal investigations, I would think.
But the critical thing is the election, which CBS and the forger(s) tried to steal with this garbage - we must not get distracted by any criminal issues which would take many months or even years to resolve.
The only way to do a th on a selectric was to move the typewriter back 1/2 turn and even then the th was large.
Uh yeah, it is possible they typed the "th", spaced it to delete the superscript and forgot to fix the problem.
Another dead giveaway is they missed a couple. In one memo the position of the superscript is exactly in the same position to the "7" as in MSWord.
I pasted both documents on a light table, speced it with my magnifier and pica ruler. Fits like a glove. Amazing how default letterspacing in MSWord just happened to fit this particular "typewriter".
Using Times New Roman. Wait until you read my post about the history of that font!
