Doubleday, Kelley's publisher, was quick to dispute her account.

Could George Soros's money be behind this?

Kitty Kelley is a liar and has always been a liar. Period. Even anti-Bush Newsweek is declining to print any excerpts of her book. Larry King says he will not have her on his show. These things say a lot.

I categorically deny that I ever told Kitty Kelley that George W. Bush used cocaine at Camp David or that I ever saw him use cocaine at Camp David. When Kitty Kelley raised drug use at Camp David, I responded by saying something along the lines of, 'Who would say such a thing?'

THAT'S going to leave a mark.

And don't you just think...I mean don't you really think, that maybe one, I mean even one, of the MSM that touted this story today, and NBC who has an interview with Kelly for three days next week would think to ask Sharon Bush for confirmation of the story before they ran with it, and made complete asses of themselves.

Unbelievable.

Drudge:Sharon Bush plans tell-all book about Bush family Drudge Report Apr 15 2003

Sharon Bush is planning to write a tell all on the Bush family, The New York Observer is reporting exclusively in Wednesday's paper.

Sharon Bush, the estranged wife of President George W. Bush's younger brother, Neil Bush, has spent two decades with the Bush family.

Sharon Bush's spokesman, Lou Colasuonno, told The Observer:

"This will be the story of Sharon Bush's life inside one of the most powerful families in America. She witnessed the evolution of a dynasty. She believes, and is prepared to reveal in her book, that the Bushs are far more pragmatic and calculating than has ever been seen before. She will show that the family orchestrates its public image from top to bottom. She will reveal that the family is in essence a political operation."

Ms. Bush is currently working on her proposal and is pitching her idea in Manhattan publishing circles.

She recently met extensively with renowned biographer Kitty Kelley, who is working on her own book on the Bushes. They discussed the possibility of Sharon Bush becoming a key inside source for Kitty Kelley, which would be a huge boost for Kelley's long awaited book.

Kelley's agent, Wayne Kabak, of William Morris Agency, told the Observer:

"Kitty had a very long lunch with Sharon, and a great deal of information was put on the table. They talked about the possibility of Sharon writing her own book, as well as about the possibility of Sharon further cooperating with Kitty's book in the future." Sharon Bush is in the midst of a nasty divorce with Neil Bush. ...

The publisher is arguing with the alleged first-person source?

Well, time to add them to my list of say-anything, end-justifies-the-means political hacks who cannot be trusted to inform me of the time of day.

Just damn.

I thought Sharon was writing a nasty tell-all book to get back at her husband thru his family. I know that's where the abortion story came from.

I was hoping Sharon would deny being the source. Now she needs to go to the talk shows, especially Larry King, and say the same. This will blunt the KK attack.

Doubleday referred a reporter to Lou Colasuonno, a former tabloid editor who was then providing public relations advice to Sharon Bush and arranged last year's lunch with Kelley. Asked about the disputed quote on drug use, he said: "From what I've seen reported in the media, and having not seen the book, I would not describe it as inaccurate."

Does this count as a non-denial denial? "I would not descrsibe it as inaccurate."

This is a huge blow to this already credibility-challenged book's credibility.

I was a little nervous about this, but this really is a massive hit on this book.

Sharon Bush on Dubya snorting crack at Camp David:

"Although there have been tensions between me and various members of the Bush family, I cannot allow this falsehood to go unchallenged."
