I heard some months ago that the names of Texas ANG and other ANG fliers are on the Wall in Washington.
Confirmation?

As with the mobilized Army Guardsmen who served during the Vietnam War, the members of the Air Guard who served on active duty, many of whom spent nearly a year in tours overseas, have received very little lasting recognition for their service. At least seven died in combat while performing their duty. http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache:6-yfzd6zA1sJ:www.ngaus.org/ngmagazine/vietnam1002.asp+air+national+guard+killed+in+vietnam&hl=en
Don't think any of those were from Texas ANG but not sure

Great article for us to email to our unwashed, brain dead, democratically aligned relatives.

You won't see this in the Old Media, because it doesn't fit the template.

We need all the backup we can get; if Bush's lead holds, this is obviously where they are going.

Great article, but no one in the world will pay attention to it unless they are already in the choir. I disagree. There are plenty of folks who are just now beginning to pay attention to the election, and they are susceptible to the slime coming out of the DNC over the next few weeks. We need to be ready to refute the statements and allegations that will be floated on the upcoming 60 Minutes show and the book coming out by Kitty Kelly.

Thanks for this post, kattracks. And thanks for the ping, Howlin. This article refutes all the faux charges against Bush and prepares us to rebut the coming onslaught of slime.

Thanks.... this article does a good job of explaining the nuances of Guard Service. It has been layed out before but still rears it's ugly head.
However the one major difference in all this is that I believe the public will judge the President on his tenure as CinC rather some Guard duty of 35 years ago. Whereas Kerry has tried to make his duty of 35 years ago a theme of his campaign, President Bush has not. Both served under the rules of the time, got honorable discharges and there's not a lot more to say, imo.
