Good afternoon lovely sistahs and finest friends...Busy day but wanted to stop in and say hi...PLUS...just found out I have two tickets to see our president Saturday in Troy, OH!!! Am so excited! Hopefully will get pictures, a handshake or both! Heck just getting to go is good enough for me :o)
Oh, dutchess, you will be astounded by what a positive experience this will be!
Just as you already surmise, he radiates what we perceive as honesty and goodness.
I have all my own photos and the two signed objects and clippings from meeting him in a frame on the wall to my right, from where I sit at the computer..:))
God Bless you Nikki for the things you have done and continue to do.
Thanks Mayor for reminding us all of this wonderful young woman.
Nikki--you are a fantastic young lady and I am so proud to know you are a fellow American. Thank you for giving hope to all of us and renewing the great spirit that is America. May God bless you and allow you to continue being a light to our Veterans and inspiring friends and neighbors to do the same.
I got an updated report on my friend Ryan who is in Baghdad, unfortunately I don't have any details. He sustained a leg injury on 8/17 and has been transported to Germany where he'll recuperate in the hospital for two weeks before returning to Iraq.
I've spoken with my neice and her husband, Joey, in Korea is doing well. She will be going to visit him in October. Thank you for all the prayers for Ryan and Joey and please add Angela so that she may have a safe trip to and from Korea.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constant care and blessings. Thank You for the safety and well being of our troops who are in harm's way, for keeping so many of them healthy. Thank You for limiting the number of men and women we have lost, the sacrifice is great and it breaks our hearts, keep them forever in our rememberance. Please continue to bring protection and guidance to our military, the men and women in the field and especially those who are responsible for placing them in harm's way. Bless President Bush with wisdom and endurance he needs to continue leading our troops and leading the country. Thank you for bringing such a man to the White House. Please be with all our leaders that they will make decisions that will sustain the freedom You grant and intend for us to have. May we never forget You are the true source of freedom and liberty. Amen.
GOD BLESS OUR POW/MIA'S!
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
GOD BLESS PRESIDENT BUSH!
GOD BLESS DONALD RUMSFELD!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Waiting in the Pharmacy one day for a new prescription, a woman veteran (medical specialist) of it was describing to another man who had been there how the Army literally dumped her unit in the desert - without adequate or even basic supplies - no shelter - not much food, etc.
Stated they were, however, then given those things by the SAUDI government, or they'd have really suffered.
She and her husband, who had been in another location there, both developed crippling things, and had to fight like heck to get them recognized as war-related exposure to chemical substances from the Iraquis.
Have overheard others there saying the same thing.
It is an echo of the Vietnam veterans who had to fight for 20 years to have Agent Orange illnesses covered by the government.
The liberals in government prefer to DENY - DENY - DENY - hoping the veterans will all go away, or die before they have to pay for their care.
Need to have *all* those tax dollars to dole out to the (voting) ones who won't fight/poor/etc., doncha know...

Quoting a reply from your link:

Did you see this from the Boston Globe:
The Kerry campaign removed a 20-page batch of documents yesterday from its website after The Boston Globe quoted a Navy officer who said the documents wrongly portrayed Kerry's service. Edward Peck had said he -- not Kerry -- was the skipper of Navy boat No. 94 at a time when the Kerry campaign website credited the senator with serving on the boat. The website had described Kerry's boat as being hit by rockets and said a crewmate was injured in an attack.
But Peck said those events happened when he was the skipper. The campaign did not respond to a request to explain why the records were removed."
