I mean, the Pharisees were self-righteous hypocrites, yes, but even they weren't that corrupt.

I suppose we could get into a full-scale theological discussion at this point. I know that Catholics believe in mortal and venial sins, but to Protestants, any sin separates you from God.

My grandfather used to say it didn't matter if you stole a dime or a million dollars, you were still a thief.

And when you come right down to it, we're all sinners. Jesus said so.

True, of course, in the ultimate sense.

But abominations are abominations.

In this case it might be better to label them 'Obomanations'.
