LOL! Everyone (and I mean everyone) in my neighborhood was walking around in the road at sunrise this morning. We were all reporting our evac plans. I was carrying the can of spray paint. One neighbor cautioned against using profanity, in case Charley could read!

We were up very early in Bradenton and were absolutely certain of a northern landfall. All my neighbors were worried, some stayed and alot like us left. Kids make choices for you in times like these. We are near a creek off of the Manatee river. It was a stuffy, hot, and humid day with very little rain and no wind until around noon. Stifeling and oppressive. But when we left the house was ready for anyting. Tomarrow we start over and start taking off the boards and patching the holes and wait for the next time to do it all over again. God I love Florida.
