Tampa radar looks toward Lemon Bay/Charlottes Harbor as new point of impact.
they are going overboard with all these evacuations.
I was watching the History last week .. they said the lowest pressure on record was the huricane that hit in Galveston Texas in 1900

Sarasota in big trouble as is Bradenton. Sarasota is very near Ft. Meyers, jus tnorth of eye's projected path.
Sarasota and Bradenton are north of Fort Myers, but South of Tampa. Residents there are probably in some semblance of danger, yes.

New vortex data from most recent Hurrican Hunter shows 943 mb pressure...this thing is rapidly strengthening.
Before his kiteboard blew up his butt.
Can you picture the storm about 15-20 miles to the east?!
Fort Myers and Cape Coral would be a mass wreckage zone because of those winds.

Weather Channel guy forecasting 'extreme damage.'
unconfirmed report of pressure at 943
Yikes.

I have been trying to access webcams on Sanibel.....everything is just dead.
I hope that paradise manages to make it out of this thing without 12-years worth of cleanup, but that is not likely.
I hope nobody is injured, but I am afraid tons of folks may not have evacuated from Fort Myers and Sanibel in time.
