One brother's house is on coast in old path of storm. Family packed up and went to other brother's home further north/east - which is now directly in the new path.

We live 1 1/2 hours from coast in GA, and it's severe when it get's to us. Agnes, Floyd, Kate (numerous tornadoes & flooding), Alberto (over 24" rain) have all hammered us, I can't imagine what it's like at the coast.

Wifes family was in Homestead, and entire house was blown away - only by the grace of God did they survive.

Could this thing gather up enough steam and easterly flow to get across the state and into the Atlantic intact and then proceed up the coast? Or are they still counting on it taking an overland track north?

Looks like it will make it across the peninsula and into the atlantic. Just issued Hurricanes warnings/Watchses from Cocoa Beach northward.
