Let's face it; this is a fiasco. The state GOP has basically said "we are so pathetic, we have to bring in candidates that don't even live here.

I disagree, it's a fiasco for Obama, IMO.

The same arguement was said about Arnold when he entered the race.(not the residency isssue per se, but hopefully you get the gist)

Arnold's race is totally different from this race. Unlike Keyes, Arnold had a very good chance of winning when he announced.

Arnold ran from a position of strength.

Keyes is running from a position of weakness. This is only an exercise of ego building on Keyes' part. Keyes will receive no support from the RNC since he has no chance of winning. How is he going to by TV ads?

Surely, you jest in insisting on comparing this to Arnold's triumph.

I just seen Keyes on Hannity and Colms. Obama was invited but did not want to come on. Also Keyes said that at first Obama wanted 6 debates with the republican candidate. Now that Keyes has entered the race, that debate offer is down to 4 or 2.

I think once the residents of Illinois start learning more about Barrack Obama, the more the race will tighten up.
