That's what bothers me... I don't know anyone that wears a wrist camera...odd piece of equipment. How much does he make at the A&P? Enough to buy a fancy luxury item like that? Wonder where he bought it? Not something you see around alot..

~~~~~~~~~~
This is the first time I've ever seen one myself.
He works as a baker in the deli department.
Another thing. He told me a few weeks ago when he returned to work that he bought a house in upstate NY. Drives an SUV - not in great conditions now, but almost brand new 3 years ago when I first met him. I believe he told me he used to live in Brooklyn as he always mentioned the number of mosques popping up all over Brooklyn. I remember this distinctly because he mentioned collection plates in a church but not in mosques.
He still owes me a Koran though :). He promised he would give me a Koran for free but never did. Now, don't get alarmed here. I'm Catholic and have no intention to convert to the "Religion of Peace." I didn't ask for it; he offered to me.
Bobibutu is right, though, in suggesting to let the police do their job. What scares me, however, is that if I inform the authorities and they check on the guy, he'll knows that he was me who informed them. At this time I'm ambivalent as to whether to inform the authorities or not, but if I have to i'll eventually will.
What I meant by "engaging" him was to just talk to him and say hi. However, he's not been willing to talk to me like he used to prior to 9-11. Could that he's just afraid to open up after 9-11. I don't know. He just scared the hell out of me of the things he said re America, Christians and Jews.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on him for now, just in case.
You can't know that. He may be speaking to lots of folks. If you think there is something even vaguely worthwhile here you must report it. If he checks out, no prob. Right after 911 I got suspicious of a student of mine, a Pakastani kid who was saying some really anti-American things at school. I gave him up to a buddy of mine in the FBI and the feds wound up sweeping up and deporting a nest of 20 illegal Egyptian and Yemeni nationals all in one apt. Do I have any regrets? What do you think?
Don't do that! Assess, decide and either "engage" or break contact totally and stay the heck away from him. In this case, "engagement" means just make the call or send the e-mail. Give them all the data you can and back away. But if you try to play "Dick Tracy" (the only other guy I ever knew who wore a wrist camera/radio) with this, you might get hurt.
Don't do this "watch" thing. If there's a problem, make the call. Send an anonymous email.
Don't try to write a story to justify why you're contacting them. You don't need evidence, you need suspicion. Let the LEO's take care of evidence.
If you don't make the call and something happens, you will have to live with that. If you start playing "Get Smart" with a goblin, they'll eat your lunch.
