Marla Romash, who will handle communications for Teresa Heinz Kerry, joins the campaign from Romash Communications, the firm she created after serving as Communications Director for Vice President Al Gore. Romash joined then-Sen. Gore in January 1989 as Communications Director in his Senate office. She worked with him throughout the 1992 campaign, traveling with the Senator as his Communications Director, and after the election, to the White House. A former newspaper reporter, television producer, political reporter and analyst, Romash has worked in U.S. Senate campaigns of Senators Chris Dodd (1980 Press Secretary), Joe Lieberman (1988 Communications Director), and Al Gore (1990 Communications Director). Romash also served as Dodds Senate Press Secretary.
