Shumer just told Fox News that Iraq was 18th or 19th Century country. Where's he been? They are buying appliances, electronics, all kinds of consumer goods that weren't even around in the 18th or 19th century. Besides, Shumer just insulted the intelligence of their leadership.

Now Shumer's talking about "a second 9-11, God forbid." Shame on Fox.

Yes. It is amazing to see the pix of the Iraqi stores. Tons of appliances and goods. Right after the fall of Saddam, there was such a run on satellite TV dishes, that they were making makeshift antennae/dishes just to get any worldly news and information.

Under Saddam, a select group had all the conveniences, while the others lived in poverty with state handouts. Now, those who were previously deprived have access to conveniences and appliances, etc. They have jumped from the 14th Century to the 22nd Century in the last year.
