"One group must maintain what is good at all costs. "

At ALL costs? Even at the cost of losing the war on terror to these scum?

Unless we can stop them, NO ONE will want to be associated with us - the price will be too high.

During the Civil War, the Union High Command, through Custer, threatened to hang any of Colonel Mosby's raiders if they were caught. Custer actually DID hang one or some - I can't remember.

Mosby retaliated with Union prisoners drawn at random. It worked.

I'm not trying to equate the minds of Americans of the 19th Century with the twisted, sick brains of these anachronistic vermin. But this WOULD work.

They live, as I said in a tribal world where family and tribal connections mean everything, even more than one's own life - which they apparently hold at a low price anyway.

Even if such actions did not deter the actual culprits, the consequences might induce their relatives to turn them in before they were forced to pay the price for the terrorist's action.

All jusice and reason demands that we retaliate against these vermin in any way possible to atone for the unmerited agony and suffering of their victims and the victim's equally innocent families and friends.

Believe me - if I had the power to do it I would meet their terror with escalating Schreklichkeit of my own even if it meant in the long run totally exterminating each and every one of these vile bandits and vermin.

I am not saying killings are not required. They are and lots of them. I am saying mutilation of bodies, torture, rape, beheadings are all the trademarks of our enemies. The Japanese in WWII were famous for all of these things.

The razings of Palestinian homes tied to families of terrorists has not worked. Assasinations and outright killings of leaders, one right after another does. That to me is called self-defence.
