I thought the same...as it could be applied to many in Washington. It was however, Matthews that made a point before the eulogy to pay attention to it before it was given. This was further confirmed after the cermony had ended, when he, Fineman and Buchanan specifically mentioned it was a rebuke of Bush...as they also said Reagan would've never supported the war.
The irony in all this, is that as they attack (including Ron Jr) Bush for wearing his faith on his sleeves, it was Ron's own father who laced almost every public/pivate speech he made with religious overtones. In this regard, Ron might of thought he was attacking Bush...but he was also attacking his own father's ideals.

That kind of brazen attack had no place in President Reagan's funeral and he should be very ashamed of himself. This also should be investigated a bit further cuz it sounds like the press knew it was coming.
