Here ya go
I liked Patti's eulogy the most.
I was moved by all three.
"Dad was also a deeply, unabashedly religious man. But he never made the fatal mistake of so many politicians wearing his faith on his sleeve to gain political advantage. True, after he was shot and nearly killed early in his presidency, he came to believe that God had spared him in order that he might do good. But he accepted that as a responsibility, not a mandate. And there is a profound difference."
Ron's pathetic attempt for a Wellstone memorial moment.
With the exception of one line that I wish he had kept to himself, it was terrific, and he has a great delivery.
Mike Reagan hit it out of the park however.
Same here... It was wonderful seeing the three of them express such love for their father.
Michael Reagan's was the best. He loves Jesus. Michael should run for President some day.
Mike Reagan turned me off with his "I'm going to heaven" line. Arrogant. Only God decides who goes to Heaven.
I don't see anything wrong with this statement.
This is good... VERY GOOD. RWR was a most magnificent man. As President, he did some real wrong-headed things. Overall, though, I would rate him 8.5 out of 10...
I've always felt sorry for poor Ron. He certainly didn't get any looks from either of his parents, nor did he get their charisma and talent. Such a shame that he filled his whole life with hate when he was surrounded by such love.
That jab is quite ugly. VERY unseemly!!!
Ron's pathetic attempt to get attention - and we're giving it to him.
I agree. It's sad really, in trying to distance himself from conservative Christians he stood up and slapped the very people who helped elect his father. And on top of that, I have read several speeches here the last couple of days where Ronald Reagan spoke very openly about his faith to Christian audiences. I wonder how Ron squares that with someone who uses religion to gain votes?
"Mike Reagan turned me off with his "I'm going to heaven" line. Arrogant. Only God decides who goes to Heaven."
Michael Reagan has a Saviour. He knows where he is going.
Do you?
Is Ron a mamma's boy?
**I liked Patti's eulogy the most.**
Not me. Michael's was the most personable and true.
Patty didn't even touch her feelings. She just quoted poets.
Ron tried to talk about religion and he got in over his head.
Man, we are really hard up if we have to resort to picking apart a son's remarks about his Dad at his funeral. Just getting up there to speak had to be extremely difficult..give the kid a break...he will outgrow it.
**Is Ron a mamma's boy?**
How did you guess?
