They were both nodding off when GWB was speaking.
I am going to make a judgement here.
They both did it at the same time; when GWB was on. I think they did it on purpose. Like when Queen Elizabeth the I always was sick going to Mass during her Catholic sister's reign.
This was codespeak to their base, they are going because they have to, but they don't like Reagan or Bush, no matter what they say.
They've done this too many times now. Hillary has an iron will and control; she knows when her face looks nasty. She does this on purpose.

Every last bit as classy as his fan base, huh...?

Yes, I too saw it but thought he was either coked out of his mind or else could not stand the sight of the hag to his left so had closed his eyes.

Prince Charles also seemed to be nodding off.

How did the Clinton's score a front row seat? It was odd that they were in the front row all by themeselves over a half hour before the funeral. Did they switch seat tags when no one was looking?

A classic narcissist can not bare to hear praise directed toward anyone else.
One effective way to injure a malignant narcissist is to highly praise someone else in his or her presence.
I'm in the process of writing an historical fiction novel based upon a real people. The central character is a narcissist who has lived 80+ years blind to the banquet of life surrounding her. She is lost in her own reflection. When a person has herself as her own god, she is truly alone.

I did see him wiping his brow though, being anywhere near a church must make this guy break out in a cold sweat.

Oh please, he wasn't sleeping, he just had his eyes closed. Haven't you ever done that at a funeral?

The remarkable irony is that Mulroney was in the midst of his passage extolling the fact that Reagan so embodied the nobility and majesty of the Presidency; they cut to Clinton and he's ASLEEP. Perfect. Absolutely perfect display of raw reality.

They do NOT know what to do with themselves if they are not the center of attention. Just like spoiled, ill bred, white trash. Why did they attend if that is the best behavior they could display?

I noticed the looks of disgust the most whenever someone spoke about how Reagan limited the government or about what makes a good president.

The Toon may have been rendered unconscious when Mulroney slapped him with the descriptions of leadership.
Or maybe the toon grasped the utter failure of his life and like a possum slipped into momentary unconsciousness to escape the danger.

Why must we act like little people? That has been the opposition; it would be nice to keep it that way.
I have my own thoughts about why Clinton had his eyes closed. It was not sleep, but this is not the time and place or the occasion to discuss it.
Today is the day to honor a special man. I'd rather focus on that.

I was in a network (ABC-TV) affiliate newsroom in a top 10 market and when shot went to The 'Toon, everyone started yelling, "He's asleep. Big night last night. Sure wasn't with Hillary, etc."
