This is all very true about the masons. I know in-laws and friends of my Dad who are in to this crap. They have some coin they show to each other if they need help.
There are more of these cults than most people know. They have some sign rings, coins and foreign currency that they show to there buddies.

I never got a coin. But then each State Lodge is unto itself and totally apart from all other states insofar as rules for operating, etc. There are several benign sounding "code phrases" which Masons use to recognize each other as well as at least one totally silent "emergency distress signal" and at least three different secret handshakes. Really.
