I was in DC today for the procession, so for the chronicle of this thread I would like to add that the audio of the TV feed (on Fox which I had taped, and have just reviewed) was not what people experienced live.
Fox showed video of the caisson with band music blaring, but the bands were almost a mile ahead of the casket. There were only the horses' hooves making noise when it went by.
Also it seemed like Fox had their microphones along the route turned up way high. People were not talking loudly and joking anywhere near President Reagan's casket..
