I stopped in a bank in the center of our little town this afternoon and asked them why their flag had not been lowered. They scurried right out to take care of it.

I made three or four phone calls to places I noticed. All said, they did not know.

I believe that they did not.

That is sad.

I once had to call the downtown Nashville public library when the US flag was flying at half staff and tell them that the Tennessee flag should not be flown at full staff beside it. They acted very puzzled, but soon after someone came out and lowered the Tennessee flag. You would think that government paid library workers would know the rules.
