haven't read the whole thread, but there was an hour special on this family late last night. Was interesting. Seem like a wonderful family and their kids are awesome!!
The dad has won two state senate seats, built an enormous house with just the help of his children, the family has had ZERO debt for over 14 years (no credit cards, no mortgage, etc) and no public assistance, the kids are home-schooled, so there's no burden on the public school system. The parents made good money early on through working many, many hours at their various self-owned businesses (convenience stores, real estate, insurance sales, auto sales, etc.).
Yes. I kept TRYING To find something wrong with the whole perfect-family picture. I couldn't. Except for the awful clothes the females wear and all that HAIR! I'd love for the mom to stop having baby's long enough to appear on "What Not To Wear"! Seriously, great family. Makes the rest of us look lazy!
The 7,000-square-foot family project will have 10 bathrooms, master and guest bedrooms, a laundry room with four washers and eight dryers and two dormitory-style bedrooms, one for the boys and one for the girls. Those rooms will have bunk beds, Jim Bob Duggar said, easily added for any new children.
"We've done the work from the foundation up," he said. "We're building it debt- free. We're doing it as we can afford it."
There will be two closets on either side of the laundry, one with boys clothes and one with things for the girls. The children put on whatever clothing fits.
LOL, reminds me of one of the Diceman's 'pomes':
"There once was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many kids...her uterus fell out..OH!"
I envy that family.
We know a family with 21 children. All have the same parents.
And our 3 drive me insane enough!
Semper Fi
LOL!
We have ONE dog, no kids!
I've got the "J" name for #16:
Just Damn!
(ouch)
They might be FreeWill Baptist. I used to work at a Christian camp, and I seem to remember them having similar standards.
Stupid remark. (From an apparently ignorant person.)
Yes, those dumb ol'Arky hillbillies. They make so many billions of dollars running the greatest money making retail organization ever devised (Wal-Mart), feeding millions (Tyson Foods), investing in America (Stephens, Inc.), clothing millions (Dillard's Inc.) and gathering so much private information on every person in the USA it would scare you to death if you knew what they knew about you(Acxiom Corp. a.k.a. "The Beast"). Hyuk, hyuk, we jus' don' kno no better. Weez jus' unsofiscated hillbillies, taken yo' money to the bank every day of the week. Hyuk..
Yup.
Are they registered to vote?
Oldest of 10, 8 still around. One doctorate, two MBAs, two MSWs, two MSs. The boys averaged 2.5 kids, the girls 0.5.
Wow! LOL now that's what I call quiver full.
dunno... hubby looks tired :D
