In America we call that Freedom of the press and freedom of speech. FYI, I had a pirate radio station broadcasting from my home for about 5 years. The FCC finally came to our house and told us to shut it down. We did. If Berg was running a pirate radio station in Iraq, then I'm sure the ICC would eventually have told him to shut it down. They wouldn't have cut off his head, they'd just cut the power to his transmitter.
Our soldiers are out there dying so that we can keep those freedoms of speech and the press here and so that the Iraqis can have that freedom in the future.
