My current, totally unfounded, totally unsupported, speculation is that his 'Prometheus' is part of 'Prometheus Radio Project' and he was there to try to set up radio broadcasting of Left Wing propaganda to undermine the troops and the war.

With all the different articles and stories floating around ... That makes the most sense

"setting up a lib radio outlet" just doesn't mesh with his dad's statements about his being a "big Bush reporter". That must be exposed as a lie, or there is a huge problem with most of the hypotheses...
