Rush predicted this would happen, the family would lash out at Bush
To: Petronski
he was over there trying to make some mega bucks...I am very sorry for the way he died or that he died at all.
But don't blame your son's death on anything but a roll of the dice that came up snake eyes.

"...to this unnecessary war."
Yes, Neville Chamberlain said almost the same thing. You really should change your name...Churchill is probably up to about 150 rpm about now.

Government incompetence costs yet another life.
To: OldFriend
I agree with you OldFriend.
When almost 3,000 innocent civilians were killed on 9/11, that 3,000 included Republicans, Democrats, and others.
When our troops were deployed to Iraq, Republicans, Democrats, and others were deployed.
Those Americans that have given their all, given their limbs in Iraq were Republicans, Democrats, and others.
The murderous islamic animals are not concerned about which political party one belongs to, they just want all Americans dead... D E A D
It is a sad day when people cannot show some type of sympathy for one who has just lost their child especially in such a horrendous manner.
Together we, Americans stand. Divided we'll fall.

What happened between April 9th and May 6th? Don't know what happened between those dates but...
In March the Iraqi's picked him up in Mosul and got all his vital information (where he was staying, nationality, etc.) then turned him over to the MPs. Any bets the terrorists were given his hotel location by Iraqi "police"? Probably a reward for information leading to unguarded Americans.
Anyway, the US had him in what should have been considered protective custody for 13 days. Right up until his parents filed a lawsuit against the USA on March 5th. He was released the next day thanks to his parents suit. Terrorist were probably living in his hotel room in Baghdad waiting for him by the time he got there.

Same misplaced "blame" as *many* on FR are making about Hackworth and CBS for releasing the abuse photos.
The BLAME is to one place. Those filth, those shits, that crap of dogs dressed in black who coldly slaughterd a young man.
Putting blame to others is simply nothing but making excuses for and diminshing the blood spilled.

Man, are they demented or what? Incredible!
To: Liberatio
His son's head was cut off by the enemy and he blames Bush? Sorry but this father is an ass hole.
To: hershey
Let's keep this in perspective. The MUSLIMS did it and he was obviously living on borrowed time while these people waited for an excuse to kill him!
CBS/Rather and the rest, while hypocritical, are NOT responsible for this. The sin of the media & Democrats is that they care far more about Iraqi's lives than the lives of our soldiers.

lawsuit against the USA on March 5th Sorry, make that April 5th.
To: CWOJackson
Yes, Neville Chamberlain said almost the same thing
Are you saying Churchill was in favor of any war, any time? Sorry. For instance, he was very much against military action against China on behalf of the Nationalists, following their flight to Formosa. Not every war is necessary; our invasion of Iraq wasn't - - it was a diversion from the war against al-Quada. Before we even got the guys who took down the Twin Towers, we diverted troops to go against Iraq, which even Bush admits wasn't behind 9-11. (And even Bush admits now that they don't have WMDs). That's what I call an unnecessary war, and Churchill, I suspect, would have agreed.

Ol Winston is up to about 200 rpm now. What a shame his name is associated with a Chamberlainesqe character like you.
To: Eva
"...I don't believe that this guy was a Bush supporter."
Why is that, is it because of his father's politics? Many children have political persuasions different from their parents. It was reported that he did electrical work at the 2000 Republican Convention.
What dsgree of proof do you want/need/desire? Or will you just ignore that as well?
To: familyofman
You have to note the irony that his father's political cronies would hate the way the US is being whipped up against their team using his son's picture and story.
To: El Gato
I sincerely hope you are right, but I believe weak John Kerry will make nice with the terrorists while they cut his throat! At the end of the day we, the people are going have to defend ourselves, cause the "traitor" Democrat Party certainly won't do it!!!
To: exile
Since Mr. Berg described his son as a Bush supporter, I'm sending the President a contribution in his honor. That's the best idea I've heard all day.

To: familyofman
Oh please, look at the places that this guy was visiting and figure it out for yourself. This poor guy thought he was a do-gooder in all the world's trouble spots of the Islam-fascists. It was very foolish to try to free-lance work in Iraq right now and not very many people would be that foolish or greedy without an ulterior motive. I am not detracting from the guy's murder, but from the father's political agenda.
