This essay is extracted from Ralph Peters' new book, "When Devils Walk the Earth."
It is a must-read. The man is prescient.
Yep. His occassional appearances on The Laura Ingraham Shows are always great
learning experiences.

When people like Chris Mathews says, "We got to find a way make these people like us." THe terrorists get a healthy laugh.

Belated thanks, redrock. Great post. Clarity. Purpose.
Our biggest obstacle is getting the truth to the watching world.
In France, Russia, China, Iraq's Arab neighbors - and inside Iraq - anti-American "news" outlets are once more misrepresenting our honorable troops as babykillers.
We can only hope that some of the world's citizens see past the day's spin and remember who's fighting this war and why - ask why the "evil American military industrial complex" - America's "barbarian" troops - would volunteer to go into harm's way, face this seriously rotten enemy, away from home and loved ones, for little money, risking their lives daily for strangers who suffered under Saddam Hussein for over 30 years.
Today Shepard Smith actually asked whether the Iraqi people are better off now than they were under Saddam. At least he didn't say that the trains ran on time under Saddam, but close.
Germany was jumping economically as the concentration camps were in full operation.
Bill O'Reilly thinks we are suffering too many casualties.
Was our press absent on 9-11? Don't they know that this enemy killed thousands of civilians, has vowed to destroy Western civilization, would kill millions of Americans (and French infidels, too) if they could?
Strange days.
God wins. Y

24. In dealing with Islamic apocalyptic terrorists, remember that their most cherished symbols are fewer and far more vulnerable than are the West's. Ultimately, no potential target can be regarded as off-limits when the United States is threatened with mass casualties. Worry less about offending foreign sensibilities and more about protecting Americans.

I think #22 is critical.
The terrorists are nothing without their fellow-travelers, collaborators, and supporters.
Many of these, like their high-profile media sympathizers, are weak-willed opportunists but their audience access and name recognition give them ruinous power if unchecked.
They are a great asset to the enemy but a very fragile one. We must face the fact that propaganda is a weapon, and act accordingly. The terrorist enemy's active supporters should be eliminated whenever and wherever possible by whatever means are available.

This is a keeper. I generally post more articles than engage in commentary, but when I have commented I have remarked about the apocalyptic intent of these people. It's the first time I have seen it framed in such a manner.
