Despite the shabiness and sickness of comparing American war dead in Iraq to auto fatalities and random crime violence in America- just how many Americans have to die in Iraq before we leave?

just how many Americans have to die in Iraq before we leave? What is your life worth? What is the life of your family worth? What's a couple of buildings in New York? After all, it doesn't affect you personally, so it doesn't matter, right?

"just how many Americans have to die in Iraq before we leave"?
As many lives as it takes to secure victory in THIS battle in THE WAR ON TERROR! The war that we are fighting today in Falluja is the war to secure peace for Iraq! It is the war to show the Terrorists that we will fight until we attain victory, and through this victory, secure a change in the very part of world that foments the MAIN THREAT to western civilization (Radical Islam).
To deny or ignore this fact, is to be disingenuous, and displays a lack of comprehension of situation on the ground in "theater"...

(We point out Kerry's record and the facts, and they just THINK it's attack politics.)

Each American casualty in Iraq is being used by American media for anti-American propaganda. That is what is sick. Looking at the number of lives lost in this war, and comparing it to the lives lost in our country through daily activities, such as the murder rates or traffic fatalities, putting the loss in perspective is very relative.
If the media covered every traffic fatality across America as they do each one in Iraq - with blaring headlines scrolling across the screen - we would experience a public backlash against driving and tons of new laws prohitting all kinds of normal driving activities.

"...just how many Americans have to die in Iraq before we leave? Whenever this question arises, from the left or the right, I think the only way to answer it is to ask the men and women who are daily in harms way.
From everything I've read, my impression is that our fine people want to stay and accomplish their mission. They don't seem to consider their fallen comrades lives as wasted.
I think it would be wise to take them at their word and support them in every way we can.

just how many Americans have to die in Iraq before we leave? If we left today, they'd have all died for nothing. Is that what you want?

How many died in the civil war. IWW, IIWW, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf-war I, Kosova, etc.?
To my knowledge it's not only Americans who is being killed (Coalition?)!
