The guy on the Left (Slade Gorton) is our former Washington state senator who was defeated by Maria Cantwell. He was always a RINO at heart, and is now busy still trying to screw Washington State voters by pushing for a state income tax and promoting the boondoggle worthless public transit scheme. He was pretty worthless as a senator. Occasionally he accidentally voted right, but very seldom.

What happened to Slade's glasses? Did he have surgery to correct his sight> He blinks so much that he doesn't look comfotable without his bottle bottomed glasses.

I know who Slade is and always thought he was a dork. Judging by some of the people who get elected to the U.S. Senate from both major parties, I wonder what on earth the majority of voters in some states are thinking. I'm including my own state of California in that. After all, we've sent Boxer and Feinstein to the senate multiple times.
