if you were going to fake something like a bogus kidnapping for political purposes, one would suppose you might not make a straight out reference to your impending tactic, right on the internet in e mails. i am simply putting 2 and 2 together, and coming up with something very fishy about this whole thing. thanks, by the way, about the peter jennings observation. one thing is sure, two of the three appear to be rachel corrie types, and either they faked it, or they did not fake it, but are in danger, and must be very surprised that the people they allied with are going to kill them--they must hope for saviors in the form of US or Japanese hostage-rescue special forces. let's see.
