Back around the time Joe Wilson wrote his op-ed about Niger/yellowcake in July, Doug Thompson of Capitol Hill Blue wrote an article stating that a Terrance Wilkinson, associated with the CIA, sat in the oval office and heard Bush say, when informed no evidence Iraq was connected to 9/11, to "find some".
It was a freeper who did some research and asked Thompson directly (registered here on FR under his own name) and long story short, Thompson ended up admitting he'd been "snookered" by this supposed long-time source.
We are left to wonder if he actually made Wilkinson up out of thin air or if Wilkinson is a pseudonym.
But you see how this malicious story--which incidentally other media organizations which normally ignore CHB but picked this one up--dovetails with the story line the left has been using to attack: The Bush administration "lied" about intelligence, and the Bush administration was determined to go into Iraq by hell or high water.
