B-1 Bob vs. Rohrbacher?

Early returns have Rohrbacher ahead 86%-14%.

They are the only two counties using this method. They seem to be the only two counties of a larger size not reporting.

I sure wasn't comfortable voting with that dial in OC this morning. It was certainly easy enough to do it, but that method seems so...impermanent, and susceptible to either fraud or electronic breakdown of some sort. Give me that big ol' rectangular punch-out anytime :).

I started touching the screen to enter my ID number, then realized I needed to use the dial. I heard using the dial for a write in was a chore, you had to turn the dial for each letter.

San Diego just now reporting with 13.5% in.

"Looking like 55 is going to scrape in."

Frisco is all in and Orange County is barely in according to the Secy of State...this one is too close to call.

I was hoping that both 55 and 57 would fail...this state needs that kind of enema.

I voted AGAINST everything. But I'm glad 56 is gone. That one would have raised our taxes to sky's the limit.

San Diego just now reporting with 13.5% in.

That's considerably behind what their ROV site is showing. FWIW, they also had a 54 percent no on 55 early on.

I thought one of the advantages of electronic voting was that you got the results right away. Why are these counties taking so long?

Current results show...Prop. 55 is passing by 50.4 percent. About 20,000 votes up. Its showing small signs of pulling away. But still, VERY CLOSE.

Prop. 56 would've been the one that would break the back of ALL Californians. With its defeat, there is still hope for us yet.

"Is there any connection between SD and OC not reporting yet and the new method of voting, or coincidence?"

Orange County had software problems with the electronic voting early in the day. Approximately 30% of the precincts couldn't get their computers to boot.

The report is that there were no miscounts or votes lost or any other negative consequences...but if there is a close vote, look to the courts of CA.

Prop 56 is the only one where there was any visible campaign against. Everything else was a surrender.

Counting all the ones and zeros, probably.
