Of course. When it comes to kids, Californians are generous to a fault.

"It's getting blown away....."

Thank the good Lord!!! I can't afford to move and I don't want to live in NV. Nothin there but hop rabbits an pucker brush!!! (spit!)

My brother in law moved over there about 20 years ago and I keep kiddin him as "bein over the hill!" He's the one that sold me on movin to CA on '64 tellin me it was God's Country! That summer the Napa Valley burned up and that winter it rained for 40 day and 40 nights! I told him it was the land of Hell and High Water!!!

The while drivin east toward Sacramento on I-80 one night Mrs. Wasp and I spotted an old dilapidated pick-up pullin an open topped U-Haul trailer with ratty old 4'x 8'sheets of plywood stood on end with mattresses and kids yard toys and other junk piled high. The graphitti sprayed on the back-end sheet said "We're goin back to Nebraska where the bullshit is REAL!!!"

We laughed, but seriously considered goin back too as CA went for LBJ instead of Goldwater... You know the rest!!!

56 was by far the most important item on the ballot. It's getting blown away.....

Yep, BIG sigh of relief.
I've been tuning into this thread to check on THAT one first.

Congratulations, and Best Regards,
LH

A trip to Byzantium : Two years ago, Californians approved a $13.5 billion bond to build schools. Why are another $12.3 billion required now?

You could probably pass a bond measure that gives every kid $1 but the administrators $500,000 and it would still pass since it is for the chilldreeeeeeeeeen.

Well, 55 passed.

Still funny with Prop. 56. San Francisco IS the only county to vote yes on it. Even the rest of the Bay Area (which usually goes SF's way) voted no on it. Funny seeing a little green blip in a sea of red.

Just checked the results...somehow the yes vote went down...a mere .1%. While I still say it will pass (barely), it will be a long night for Prop. 55.

San Diego isn't even reporting its absentee ballots and Orange has no precints reporting. Those two have the same voting method. The electronic machine with the dial rather than touch screen.

Is there any connection between SD and OC not reporting yet and the new method of voting, or coincidence?
