The 2003 Oscar had a one-night Nielsen of 20.4 (or 20.4M presumed adult viewers). Barney, on the other hand, peaked at 2M toddlers watching the show every weekday with a minimum of an additional adult within earshot. On a M-F basis, that's at least 20M people watching the evil purple dinosaur every week.

Thank you! Mine was a toddler last year at this time and Barney reigned at our house. :)

With our 6mo LBOJ (little bundle of joy), we are a BFZ (Barney Free Zone).

The only thing I want my son associating with the color purple is my alma mater and even then he might be too warped to recover fully.
