I think the use of the derogatory 'unappeasable' slur needs at least a time out around here.
My opinion.
In a sentence, as a descriptor of one individual's actions, the word itself certainly has usefulness.
But as it, and certain other words and phrases, such as 'principled conservatives' have come to be used by some here, it is despicable and lying propaganda...a broadbrush condemnation, a net cast wide catching all conservatives, the lowest form of innuendo and insult.
It's offensive.

Are we to become more like the liberals we say we oppose and have our own speech code? I hope not.
This should suffice, if rigorously enforced: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.

Are you asking that the terms "unappeasable and principle/s" not be used on FR?
Is FR a forum for discussing our views or would you prefer that it become a rally forum without debate of the issues? Yes, I do agree that personal attacks and slurs have become much too common on FR, but this is a matter which Jim and the moderators have been attempting to solve, without much success. Emotions rather than calm discussion have taken over most of the 'hot issues'.
Many have locked their brains into 'what I believe is the truth and every other idea is false therefore the poster is a liar."
This attitude will bring our entire country down, not just FR.

It is no more or less offensive than those who as you say toss around the "principle" phrase.
Sticks and stones and all that.

If you don't like the word unappeasable go pout to Charles Karuthammer who came up with the term to describe the hard core right wing. I agree with the term. There are some on FR who say the Partial Birth abortion ban is not good enough, that the tax cuts are not good enough, etc. etc.
I guess to some of these people a Kerry or demo Presidency is good enough.
Anyway earlier in this thread you were freaking out about alienating the people who are going Constitution or Libertarian. they can't be alienated there out to alienate people who don't agree with them 100%. It was the same thing in 2000 on FR. Bush supporters outnumber the third paritiers by 8 to 1.
You may go on with your flame war.

EV face it. In your mind anyone not having Alan Keyes as their first choice is a "moderate".
