I think Tenet should have resigned long ago, and he will be history by the end of the year.

I heard on FoxNews today or yesterday, that Tenet wanted to resign in December, but Bush didn't want him to do that in the middle of all the questions, etc., and Tenet said he will stay until the end of this year.

I think Bush is not coming out and accusing Tenet publicly, because from the very beginning, after 9-11, Bush wanted to focus on the future.

All that said, he still should have gotten rid of Tenet. Those Clinton holdovers are nothing but trouble.

I think next year we will see a different CIA director and Secratary of State. ( And I hope they won't be appointed by Kerry)

I agree 100%. I also just saw that article stating President Bush says George Tenet's job is secure. (Dubya, just say it ain't so!!!)

Anyone else in just about any important kind of work with as many and consistent failures as George Tenet has under his belt would have been pink-slipped long ago.

Another 11 months of George Tenet is bad for America imho, but we have pretty much survived 8 years of the Bill'n'Hill Traveling Commie Circus Sideshow so we may well survive another 11 months of Tenetitis. At least that is my most fervent hope.

And I agree.

Hopefully Bush will demand his resignation, and that of Colin Powell, before the November elections.
