I've seen melt spatter spheres with little holes in them.
But, that is a REAL weird sphere there.

If it IS something analogous of a diatom, that would be interesting.

Well, with a thinner atmosphere Martian tektites would be rougher and less streamlined than ours.
And it does seem tektites often have vesicles....

The pic's scale is much larger than the pic in post #17. If these were diatoms, then they would be Godzilla-sized diatoms. What's the size variation on diatoms?
