I love these guys, but that first "cache" is not a cache.
It's the leftover trash from the first encounter.
The military PR folks do themselves no favors by amping it.

1500 rounds????? That's about 2 unopened tins of Russian 7.63x39mm ammo. The number sounds impressive to the uninformed but it goes for about $180 US retail. You can mail order more than that and have it dropped of on your front door - even in NY. To the left, one(1) round in one(1) round to many.

Lol, re. the caches today. What these guys are actually doing would cheer the freedom-loving world if they could only report it. More should follow.

CENTCOM/CJTF7 reporters are not concerned with timeliness, or with pleasing their customers*. On the most productive days, when it turns out that our troops are involved in major raids, news is often very late....and very good.

*I think they have a sense of humor, too. (^:

The patrol secured a cache consisting of one grenade, and six expended French Roland surface-to-air missile casings.

This is an insult to vocation of journalism.

I don't think they're journalists. Stubborn facts, no spin. (^:
