The clock seems to be sinked to the computer clock of the the person who is view it. Since the basic premise of the clock was a nuclear strike on NYC then it would be most likely that it is intended to mean EST. The one at Jill's site runs out tonight at midnight sharp. At that time a message is suppose to come up on the clock. However someone pointed out that it is not until midnight on 2/4/04 that the clock displays a message saying that the event has passed. So until midnight Wednesday we will not be able to completely say it is a farce.

Revel, won't it be 2/4/04 tonight at 12 midnight? Tomorrow at midnight it will officially be 2/5/04. And for some reason, Jill St. Claire said the clock would wind down at 12 midnight pacific time, and 3 a.m. eastern. I was never sure how she arrived at that, meaning the 12 midnight being in the pacific time zone.
