I agree with "little jeremiah", I noticed the same thing about snopes. They are OK on non-controversial stuff, but saw them bend the truth about other things.

They also claim it's not true that Hillary snubbed the Golden Star Mothers, but when you read their own details, it's very clear that Hillary DID indeed refused to meet with them.

They are certainly not the final authority.

But there is nothing wrong checking them, as one data point, true or false.

Regarding Snopes, after checking them out once or twice, and reading some stuff on a thread about them stating that some bad stuff (known to be the absolute truth) about Hitlery was false, I just can't trust them. They may be right - sometimes - but their liberal bias renders them useless as a yardstick for truth. Which is what they claim to be.
