The first kind of shopping (an "excessive amount") is not culpable to the patient. Only the second kind (overlapping prescriptions) is. As for how "difficult" it is, pharmacies already have to keep unbelievable amounts of computer records to meet Federal strictures on specially controlled drugs.

The DA alledges RUSH went back and forth to the 2 Dr's...
Mark reveals, BOTH Dr's work at the SAME FACILITY...one was subbing for the other and issued prescriptions while the other guy was on vacation.

The third Dr. was his EAR DOCTOR!!!

I find it difficult to believe that the DA has to get RUSH's medical records in order to prove that he Dr. Shopped. It's much like providing incriminating evidence against yourself...you don't have to do it. The DA must prove the case on it's own, without having the medical records.

Mark is assisting RUSH in this legal issue.

Once again, this would require several thousand subpoenas. Some chain pharmacies – linked by computer – might be handled by one subpoena – but the numbers would still be enormous.
If this weren’t Rush, but just some construction worker or cab driver, would people be so quick and rabid in their defense? What makes Rush so special? Are celebrities to be held to a much lower standard than the commoner?

WoW, there is a lot of hate speech going on about this one sided article that some liberal wrote about Rush.... “Can’t we all just get along?” Where are all the doper Hollywood Stars and professional athletes, and political junkies who have been accused by tabloids? Shouldn’t they be coming to the defense of a fellow addict to support him? Where is all the love? Where is all the forgiveness? Where is all the understanding? Where are all the compassionate liberals??? Can’t the liberals stop all their hate speech for one minute and show poor victim RUSH some sympathy? Of course they can’t because they are showing their “True Colors”. I have some good advice for Rush, just say, “OK, I took the pain killers,...but I never swallowed them. It all depends on the definition of “take””. (I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning). Why don’t everyone chill out, pop a couple aspirin and call me in the morning....Christmas morning that is. Peace, be still! Jesus is the reason for the season.
