IMPEACHMENT IS FOREVER - HAPPY CLINTON IMPEACHMENT DAY!
self | Friday, December 19, 2003 | Kristinn

Posted on 12/19/2003 5:09:03 AM PST by kristinn

Congratulations! It was five years ago today the House of Representatives impeached President William Jefferson Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice.

Those brave representatives survived an all-out war of political brinksmanship which included public threats of retaliation and private threats to bring down the government if Clinton was impeached.

James Carville threatened Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr with "kneecapping;" Alec Baldwin called for the murder of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde; George Stephanopoulos passed along the threat to employ the "Ellen Romesch defense"--a public blackmailing of Congress; Hillary Clinton said on the Today Show that those plotting against her husband "would have alot to answer for" when this was done; Paula Jones was called "trailer trash" and worse for simply seeking justice and an apology; Linda Tripp had her reputation destroyed by a conspiracy of Clinton administration officials and media operatives. Even Monica Lewinsky feared for her life and kept the infamous blue dress stained with presidue for insurance.

Thank God that people like Linda Tripp stood tall and refused to back down in their determination to see that a president of the United States could not commit felonies in office with impunity.

And thank God for people like Jim Robinson, Bob Barr, Gary Aldrich, Alan Keyes, Larry Klayman, Lucianne Goldberg, Billy Dale and all the rest who spoke at, organized and attended Free Republic's nationally televised rally supporting Clinton's impeachment on October 31, 1998.

You done good! Impeachment is forever. You can be proud that in America's hour of need, you answered the call to preserve protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

If the pubs were not so dirty themselves, they could have removed Clinton for treason and Gore along with him, but the chinese money lines the pockets of BOTH parties, and that's why the greatest criminal in American history ended up being nothing but a scandal about a fat intern.

Happy Impeachment Day!

I remember it well. Watching the House on TV, and the vote came down ... impeach! I did a jig, popped a bottle of bubbly, and the wife and I celebrated. It was a very happy moment for us, for generally the reason that we value honesty in front of a court, and think people who lie in front of a court deserve darn well to be called on it.

Remember what happened to the last Republican who was impeached.

Nixon was NOT impeached. He was threatened with it, and resigned rather than face the disgrace of impeachment.

What we are witnessing is the removal of "disgrace" from "impeachment." Nixon is less honorable, for having resigned, than Clinton is for being impeached. That is liberalism at work, my friend. Liars and cheats, they are.

Whenever Billy does shuffle off, even the most liberal papers will note the passing of the "impeached" president.

On this point, you are dreaming. My bet ... the word "impeached" will be "expunged."

You are so right -- Clinton was the Best President Chinese Money Could Buy and now, thanks to him (and Bernard Schwartz and Loral, etc.) the Chinese have the ability to conquer space and extend the nuclear arms war there.

He should have been impeached for treason. Instead he got voted into the WH...gee thanks Perot.

Among his other dastardly deeds Clinton admitted that he was a street demonstrator in Britain and traveled to Moscow (Soviet Union) while he was "studying" at Oxford University in London.

"I was driving down to my brother's in Richmond for an early Christmas dinner, listening to C-SPAN, and almost had to pull over because I was crying so hard. Not because I thought he didn't deserve it, but because I was so heartbroken that the country had come to that."

There were no tears at my house! I was jumping for joy all over the neighborhood!!!! It was a sweet day! I love to remember it. I will never forget it.

One thing clinton did was bring a lot of people together in an attempt to get him ousted! I got my first computer in the summer of 1998, and I spent every night on the CNN message boards talking about bj clinton! I met so many good friends...great people....from all over the world who saw what a scum bag that man was.

Happy Happy impeachment day! I believe this makes a much better new holiday than "Kwaanza"!

As we said back then, "Treason is the reason, but perjury will do."

Linda Tripp recently compared it to Al Capone getting nailed on tax evasion. She's right, of course.

It was quite a day. Outside the White House, a forlorn looking young woman held a sign that said, "Partisan Witch Hunt."

I called out to her, "Hey lady, they found the witch!"

Hey, I don't remember Willey's cat?! Does anybody know what happened to Willey? She is a rare person.

I often wonder if the other people who know the true crimes of the clintons--(Betty Currie, Kalmen Stern, David Goldstein, Benjamin Berger, Jacob Elbaum and Rabbi David Twersky among others) -- ever see those brave kids in Iraq putting their lives on the line, and feel ashamed of themselves for their own cowardice?

Those threatened, abused and/or paid off by the clintons, keep their mouths shut and allow the truth about all the crimes: the bribes, the threats, the thievery and even the "unfortunate plane accidents", and "suicides" to go unknown and unpunished. The values that those kids in the military are willing to protect with their own lives, these people are willing to throw away and not willing to suffer even a little discomfort. They don't want the publicity. They allow the clintons to remain in political power and enable them to continue their crimes on more Americans. Just because they are too chicken to tell what they know.

Thanks for remembering.

Today's WashPost had nothing about the impeachment anniversary. Bet they had front page (or at least prominent) stories about the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversary of Nixon's resignation and/or Watergate break-in.

As far as I can tell, the WashTimes has nothing about the anniversary.

It was the audacity and shear treachery of the Clintons that frightened most everyone in Washington. There was real terror that the Clintons would do anything to stay in power. (See: The Dead Zone by Steven King.)

Adultery, like ChiCom money (but by much less), tainted both parties--as exposed by the deployment of the Ellen Romesch defense. Yet adultery did not stop the good men and women in the House from doing their duty.

The Senate failed its obligation for many reasons. Among them the fear that the Clintons would drag this nation down into the Abyss were the senators to actually move to remove the Clintons from office. (See: The empty seat in the Senate of the clerk who was killed in a hit-and-run at the start of the trial.)

And the best part of all is even Clinton himself says he is proud of being impeached!

Yeah right, Bill.

I'm with you. Hillary is just a senator. Bill is now an ex-president. This would be the time to tell all and put them both behind bars where they both belong.
