For gay Americans and our millions of allies, 2003 is the year that just kept on giving.

Again and again and again, we were given reason to celebrate. And now, largely because we advanced in 2003 as never before, 2004 promises to be very exciting -- and very scary.

Meanwhile, all Democratic presidential candidates came out strongly in support of legal rights for gay couples. Three of them support same-sex marriage.

And to think, it was Bill and Hillary who championed gay rights so much. Amazing how none of this happened while those two were in the White House.

President Bush sure is ignoring the vast majority of Americans who want our borders dealt with. Why should one think he won't repeat such a performance with regards to gay marriage? A bill that would create a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage is making its way through the House - why no support by Bush? Here's his chance.

Backlash has not started yet.

It will though.

Thier biggest mistake was forcing it all down our throats, when most everyone doesn't even care about them and what they do with and to themselves.

Perhaps not. Lesbian couples tend to last as long as heterosexual couples. Gay male couples, on the other hand, seem to barely last past the next night out and have a Clintonian definition of fidelity. But that's probably due more to the difference between the sexes.

"Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night."--Margo Channing (Bette Davis).

"That's all television is, dear--just auditions."--Addison DeWitt (George Sanders) to Miss Casswell (Marilyn Monroe)

"That I should want you at all suddenly strikes me as the height of improbability... you're an improbable person, Eve, but so am I. We have that in common. Also a contempt for humanity, an inability to love or be loved, insatiable ambition--and talent. We deserve each other." --DeWitt to Eve (Anne Baxter)

"The bed looks like a dead animal act."--Birdie (Thelma Ritter)

"What a story! Everything but the bloodhounds snappin' at her rear end!"--Birdie

"I have lived in the theater as a Trappist monk lives in his faith. In it I toil not, nor do I spin. I am a critic and a commentator. I am essential to the theater--as ants to a picnic, as the boll weevil to a cotton field."--DeWitt

"Everybody has a heart--except for some people."--Channing

You may be right. I have read several cases where women got into bitter custody disputes and so on, but those are notorious and not necessarily representative. The lesbian couples I have seen dont seem to be wrapped real tight mentally. Lots of issues with those gals. like Annie hecht and Ellen's romance. Seemed to be about publicity more than love.

But remember, y'all. According to the national media there is no such thing as a homosexual agenda.

Friend of mine remarked that the increasing volume and strident tenor of "in-your-face" pro-"gay" court rulings, TV shows, and articles like this one reminded him of the tactics of the so-called "Republicans" (who were actually atheistic far-left socialists, anarchists, and communists) in Spain just before the outbreak of civil war in 1936.

That one didn't go too well for the "Republicans," if I recall correctly....

Deb, is there ANY chance - [court action, intimidation, bribery, severe ass-whipping] that we can prevail upon Deb Price to change her name to . . . say . . . uh . . . ANYTHING but Deb???

You know I think a lot of the homosexual women have had really bad relationships with men and they turn to women. That is my theory. and not from personal experience. But here is scary thought. My friend says that bisexuality is much more accepted in teen dating these days.

And another thing, I am really sick of homosexuality 24/7. What is the deal, news, television movies and now church. I have really had enough of gays

I said that when gays came out of the closet that phedophiles would ride their coat tails. We can already see where the Supremes stand on the issue given their ruling on child porno.

But then the impeachment of the Supremes will never happen if people don't call their congress critters.

Deb Price is the biggest one-tick pony columnist around. EVERY SINGLE column she has ever written has been about gay-this and gay-that, and she only helps to reinforce the stereotype that homosexuals are obsessed with their sexuality to the point of excluding anything else.
