Radio KFWB 980 in LA broadcasting "Muslim Call to Prayer" and in need of some SERIOUS FReeping

I had just left Lenscrafters in San Bernardino and was enjoying my new bifocals and a nice cold Coke when something happened that made me spew my coke all over my dashboard. KFWB broadcast a MUSLIM CALL TO PRAYER complete with the Imam wailing away and some local Muslim cleric explaining thet it was a call to prayer for Muslims. Guy then goes into the standard spiel about how Islam is the "most tolerant of religions" and respects other religions and Jesus and we all worship the same God etc etc. And we all know what a crock of lies that is.

This happened just before 5:00 pm today and it sounded like they've been doing it all through Ramadan.

To each his own but I went to their contact page (link below and above) and shotgunned everyone on it with my feelings about them hawking Islam (Ramadan or no) and enlightened them with the TRUTH about Islam and I encourage everyone who feels the same to do the same. The New Testament is the Gospel - I guess that whole first part of the book is just "old stuff we dont' believe in", right? So, tell me - how do you feel about the creationsim issue, since Genesis is not part of your Bible?

The Christian position is, you accept the whole Bible, on faith. Protestants follow the New Testament, because they are commanded to.

My belief: It probably took longer than seven 24 hour days, but then again, how fast was the earth rotating then?

As I am not Muslim, I can only tell you about the Muslims I know and know of. And yes, it would be nice to see a bit more public denouncement of terrorists from them, but I do understand their fear. I live in the Bible belt where simply not being Baptist causes distrust! (not kidding either!)
Not sure whether I would publicly draw attention to myself and my family's Muslim faith in the U.S. today. Just look at this thread for the reasons why.

I can tell you this I live in San Diego California and many Jewish people are afraid of living or working around alot of Muslim businesses and Mosque's as they are treated not so well when an Arab finds out there Jewish.

My only hope is that when Mel Gibson's Passion comes out for Lent this movie will not give them a lame excuse to shout another JIHAD agaisnt Israel.

As a christian I hope Muslims see this movie and change there hatred for non-muslims.

Thank the Lord!!!! No, I could not lie and spout untruths about islam just appease those muslims who think they are muslim but do not truely follow what the religion tells them to do(moderates we here are out there but never hear from or see action from, because the koran does not support moderation and thus they would be apostates and worthy of death).

It is an evil that needs to be fought so that we remain a free country and my future granddaughters never have to were a burka treated no better than dogs by the oh so superior muslim men around them. No, keep this country in the hands of the people of the book.

Oh, I believe in the First Amendment (and the 2nd). I'm just not convinced that islam is actually a religion but rather a subversive political movement which has declared war ON US.

This was in today's news regarding the bombings in Istanbul

The Rev. Ian Sherwood, the British consulate chaplain in Istanbul, said not enough Islamic leaders have condemned the attacks.

"I'm appalled that I've not received any statements from a Muslim teacher anywhere in the world to express sorrow or reconciliation. It's a real weakness that has to be addressed," he said after the service.

Those who paint all Muslims (friend and foe alike) are just doing the bidding of Al Queda--perpetuating a clash of civilizations and legitimizing Bin Laden's call for Muslims to hate the West.

Islam is founded on hate and intolerance. The objective of Islam is to convert the rest of the world by the sword. Islam is the only religion I know of which prescribes DEATH to any Muslim who converts away from Islam.

As such, I feel no need to be any more "tolerant" of Islam than I would be to the "Christian Identity" movement, or to a self-professed Klansman.

Being a member of the Klan was not, of itself, evidence that you personally engaged in lynching. However, being a member WAS an indicator that you were in alignment with the ideology of the movement. Similarly, being a Muslim does not mean that you personally are in favor of terrorism or applauded 9/11. But it does indicate that in any conflict between Muslims and non-Muslims, you would be unlikely to take the side of non-Muslims against fellow Muslims. As such, they can and should be considered to have the status of enemy sympathisers

I dont' advocate radical islam. I don't even personally like the religion at all. However, as long as no laws are broken, then I have no problems with people worshipping as they choose

So then, do we destroy our Constitution, and subsequently our way of life, to "save ourselves" from radical Muslims? In other words, do we throw in the towel and engage in the antithesis of the principles that have guided this nation through so many years, acknowledge that ours in fact, is NOT the best system of governance known to man, and instead practice religious intolerance, becoming nothing more than a carbon copy of that which we fight?

The Constitution's First Amendment says that the GOVERNMENT may not take sides for or against any religion.
