Earth Shadow
The year fades towards its end
Autumn has taken hold
Summer is just a memory
The first taste of winter's cold
Night has fallen
The full moon is in the sky
The brisk wind is blowing
Thin clouds wafting by
Suddenly, creeping slowly at first
The eclipse makes its start
Blocking the glory
Like fear encroaching on the heart
Sometimes this flesh, the earth
Just gets in the way
Dimming the Sun's brilliance
Keeping out its reflected rays
But this too shall pass
It will pass very soon
And once again the Sun will shine
Reflected from the full moon

Pretty good! A gold star for you!
Fits this eclipse perfectly from the perspective around here.
