I went over to Yahoo groups to do some browsing myself. Went to an Afghanistan group called Gobsam. I was quite amused to find a couple of guys having a discussion as to whether the U.S. was causing the tremors in Tehran, as well as the earthquake in Bam.

Oh, and please, don't sleep with a gun! One of my ex-boyfriends used to do that. He slept with it under his pillows. One night, while asleep, he slipped his hand under the pillow. Somehow he managed to pull the trigger, and now he has holes in two walls. The bullet went through the wall, hit the toilet in the bathroom, and went into another wall! Needless to say, he no longer sleeps with a gun under his pillow!

Did you ever think about the fact that the unpredictability of terrorist hits--the very fact that is supposed to make them so terrorizing--really has just the opposite effect: if you can't predict them, and thus can't avoid them, since you could very well walk right into the middle of one while trying to avoid them, then you might as well just live your life without worrying about them in the slightest?

new post at eom's board:

Posting things in "cleartext" (unencrypted) like this with operational tidbits (even in such an oblique form) practically shrieks "Disinformation!" - the only question is, who is trying to mislead whom? Is EOM trying to throw off our security people, or frighten any evesdroppers such as the people here on FR, or is EOM one of ours and trying to trap some of the jihadis into doing something rash?

Either way I find it hard to believe that this is an operational communication.

Bush loses in Iowa

The big loser in the Democratic presidential caucuses in Iowa wasn't Howard Dean. It wasn't Dick Gephardt. It wasn't even Al Sharpton who managed to attract about .5 percent of the vote.

The big loser was George W. Bush.

Very fortunate that he wasn't killed - that's a very risky thing to do.

My synopsis:

Murrah,India

General information: Species: Buffalo {{NY?}}

Main use: 1- food: milk {{bio?}}

Specific visible traits: massive body, tightly coiled horns, long tail {{Some symbol?}}

Feeding of adults: farm-household by-products
concentrate - fodder - grazing {{Mad Cow etc?}}

Performance data were measured on animals kept under stationary conditions with total housing. The animals were fed with gras supplemented by fodder or concentrates.

Kinda stretching yet but who knows?
