well, we were watching in our office yesterday during lunch, and they had the guys walking up CA18 with the firest popping on both sides....and they guy flat out said they would make saving efforts to those homeowners who had cleared brushed, cut limbs and trees, and had newer composite roofs.

Don't think there is much they can do with homes with the older shake roofs.
