Media probably won't touch the issue of the "hands off" policies which have allowed the underbrush to grow to catastrophic levels.

I don't mean to sound naive, but how is it possible that a bunch of leftie enviro freaks have had such an impact on our forest management policies???? I pray they will be sued out of existence.

Oh yeah? JUST WATCH WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FREEPERS STAND AND DELIVER! We will be LOUD and relentless, dadgummit!!

I go back and forth between extreme anger and the depths of sorrow.

So many of the "green" groups (Sierra Club, etc.), file a lawsuit whenever a logging project is going to start. The logging could be by a private company that owns the land privately, or gov. logging. They hold it up in court forever.

The Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area in Oregon (the "biscuit" fire from last summer) was a prized area by all the greenies. It was their claim to fame because they had managed, over the last 20 years or so, to prevent any roads (dirt) to go in, or any brush clearing to be done let alone any logging (silly notion). Couldn't even manage existing roads. Completely hands off. When the fire started there was no way to stop it. There were no roads for fire crews to even get in there. It was a total loss of an incredibly beautiful places. All from their lawsuits.
