If anyone wants to help the people who've been evacuated due to the fires, here are some numbers and places you may be able to lend a hand. Some of our CHN friends have had to evacuate.
"People" Evacuation centers in Victorville:

"Animal" Evacuation Centers in Victorville:
2. Victorville Fairgrounds (760)951-2200 @ 14800 7th Street,in Victorville is boarding large animals (24 hours a day!):
And you can Call Pearl at Apple Valley Feed Store, who is coordinating efforts: (760) 247-5523 to offer help relocating animals. You can visit the fairgrounds at Gate "E" which is always open in the livestock area.
Also, the pilots who are dropping chemicals to control the fires are flying out of Lancaster!!! They may need some help with food and refreshments. I will post any requests and directions for help as soon as I hear from the Base Manager, Clay Myers. As of 12:30pm I left a message with him.
