ORANGE Trash trucks are going to start being allowed to go up to unload dumpsters
If it has to be so nasty up here, at least tell me that the folks down below are seeing a nice clear day and can breathe again

incident #10462, if that means anything to anybody
To: Letitring
I'd replied to you on the DD thread a couple of times, but you apparently missed my posts. All is well, I live far to the north, in the San Francisco Bay area. I hope you are well these days. Celtic Gal filled me in a bit on how you were.

Latest counts:
17 deaths
1800+ homes lost
621,000 acres burned.
14,000 FF's working now
The number of homes hasn't changed much, yet Julian alone says 200-300 homes lost there. Somehow, I think the number of homes lost will exceed 3000.
lost some structures east of the hospital, staging at a campground north of the hospital

dang!

Oblong white "speck" near center of screen is actually
a moving vehicle--van or bus. Dot-like objects along lower left side are actually vehicles on an access roadway.
Gov. Davis giving another news conference:

I think you are right on re: 3,000 homes. So sad.

Does anyone know what the weather forecast is? It's going to take a weather change to corral these fires. They're too big, too hot, and there's too much fuel to get a handle on them without cooler temperatues and higher humidities, and light winds.
