I'm taking a straw poll, how many people here above 35 discussed g-tubes with your better half when you were 25 years old?
At that age my wife and I thought we were immortal. We only drew up living wills when we were 45.

On if it had something to do with sex.

Since I didn't get married until 34, we sure didn't discuss it. God forbid that anyone would bring up all the stupid things I said when I was 25.
I KNOW that my husband would not do what MS is doing. I would not be married to anyone I thought capable of acting as he has.
Terri reminds me of my little 2nd cousin, Kristin. She will be 18 this year and she has CP and can't speak. Most people totally ignore her, but if you sit and talk to her, she loves it.

I was just getting engaged at 25. Isn't "whattya think about living with a g-tube" the question everyone immediately asks after they propose?

Look I am 50+ and until Terri I never thought of life sustaining methods in this way, no I told my husband and kids about when to let me go and when not. I'll try a feeding tube if it keeps them happy.
